Winners and losers from Week 9

Aaron Jones | Green Bay Packers | 5.3 fantasy points

Weeks like this make fantasy managers frustrated when it comes to rostering Jones, but that’s what we’re meant to expect with this boom/bust slasher. Despite the strong matchup, Jones saw just 12 carries and two targets. Meanwhile, A.J. Dillon saw only eight carries but received four targets. Hopefully, Aaron Rodgers comes back for Week 10 because this was tough to watch for fantasy managers who have Jones.

Zack Moss | Buffalo Bills | 3.4 fantasy points

This was expected to be a smash matchup for Moss against the Jaguars, but the entire Bills offense laid an egg on Sunday. From Josh Allen failing to sustain drives to Moss receiving just three carries, it goes to show we can’t truly trust Moss as a fantasy asset even in favorable matchups. He did suffer a head injury that limited him to 28% of the snaps, but the Bills ran the ball just nine times with their running backs.

Boston Scott | Philadelphia Eagles | 4.0 fantasy points

Just when we thought we had a handle on the backfield for the Eagles, Nick Sirianni continues to baffle us. Scott seemed to be the guy with Miles Sanders out as he and Jordan Howard split the workload in Week 8. Then, they went with the hot hand in Week 9, which led to Scott seeing just 10 carries. The good news is the Eagles seem surprisingly committed to the run since Sanders got hurt so brighter days might be ahead for Scott. But really, it’s probably best to avoid this backfield altogether.
