Jets star Quinnen Williams turns 24 in three weeks. He’ll have to wait a little bit longer to find out if the Jets are going to give him a nice present.
Williams will be eligible for a contract extension for the first time in his career after he completes his third NFL season. The Jets do not have to give him an extension. If they pick up his fifth-year option (and why wouldn’t they?), he’ll be under contract through 2023. They can use the franchise tag to push it through 2024.
