Finally, Carroll closed by talking about his dearest beloved run game, which was potent in Houston for the first time in months.

Carroll says Rashaad Penny deserves another chance to start, but the running back rotation will continue.

Will Rashaad Penny continue to be the primary option at RB? “I think he deserves the shot to show that, to start it out,” Pete Carroll said. “But we’ll still rotate to keep guys fresh. But yeah we’re gonna give him a shot again to come right on back and see if we can keep going.”

Penny posted a career-high 137 rushing yards and two touchdowns against the Texans, easily the best game of his career. Meanwhile, Alex Collins managed just 16 yards on seven carries despite a superb run-blocking effort – further paving the way for this opportunity.

While Sunday’s output was an encouraging sign, Penny now has just four games remaining on his rookie contract. No other Seattle player is under more pressure to produce the rest of the season.
