Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson might not be coming off the injured reserve as soon as hoped. The running back didn’t participate on Wednesday even though he had been cleared to return to practice.
Coach Pete Carroll was asked whether or not Carson had suffered a setback of sorts.
“What I would say is that we didn’t make the positive progress that we had hoped,” Carroll explained. “We are still working with it. I don’t have a good update, so if you don’t mind, you have to wait a couple of days and we will have more.
“He didn’t make the positive progress forward that we wanted, so we just have to wait.”
Carson has been battling a neck injury and has missed the last five games. Now that he’s been designated to return to practice, the clock is ticking on his activation back to the 53-man roster.
