Seahawks fans mostly want to see Russell Wilson…
4 min read
Russell Wilson made a grand exit following Sunday’s win over the Lions. He was the last Seahawks player off the field and took time to sign autographs. There’s now loads of speculation that this was Wilson’s final home game. While there are exceptions, it seems most fans want the organization to keep him rather than trade him.
Here’s what 12s are tweeting about Wilson’s future this week.
I think the media wants Russell Wilson to play somewhere else more than Russell Wilson does. Media does a good job at steering things in the direction that they want them to go. Need those drama drenched stories. #Seahawks #SEAvsAZ

There is a speculation that tomorrow can be Russell Wilson’s very last game in Seattle as a Seahawk. I don’t by into that, I believe that Russell will stay and win at least 1 more Super Bowl here. #Seahawks pic.twitter.com/5IlY86EFOb

Please stop the @DangeRussWilson trade talks! This man is dedicated to the city of Seattle and the #Seahawks organization! It would not be wise to move a top-tier talent… hold, upgrade the o-line, use your draft picks wisely, and next season should be epic. We’re not far off!

This whole thing with Russ makes me really sad. I remember how devastating it was when Griffey left, and I I think both sides could learn a lot from that story, namely the end where Griffey said no one will love you like your first team. #Seahawks

This is just me personally, I’d like to see if the #Seahawks do some kind of deal with Russ which includes a slice of future ownership. Wilson already has that with the @SoundersFC and clearly is invested in the area.
If he’s on the fence, maybe that’s a play?@komonews

Russell Wilson will start 2022 week 1 for the SEATTLE SEAHAWKS !!!

We really need to stop saying that @DangeRussWilson is going to leave the Seahawks because he never said that he wants to leave Seattle and you can’t trade him when he only played like only half of the season and I hate when people say that the Seahawks are is rebuild mode pic.twitter.com/QdTsfTqOrh

I wonder if Russell Wilson watched how Ben Roethlisberger went out surrounded by the fans and thought maybe that’s what he wants to have here in Seattle. It’s still very much a possibility but there’s some addressing he needs to do to squash all the rumors and suggesting.

@DangeRussWilson I love you and the seahawk you should stay in Seattle I feel like you should take a pay cut so that we can get some better offensive line man for you and get back to the superbowl you’ve got good WRs there too

I understand he’s getting older and it’s better to get rid of a guy too early than too late and blah blah blah but Russell Wilson wants to stay in Seattle and it would be stupid to not make that work. 🐐

I don’t want Russell Wilson to leave Seattle, but the #Seahawks have repeatedly put up a fight when attempting to sign him to another contract. The Hawks treated him the way a seven year-old would Brussel sprouts or broccoli.

Seattle is lucky to have Russell Wilson and it would be the stupidest move ever to trade him in his prime when he is the lifeblood of this team the past decade #seahawks

You did a great job today and you are best qb for hawks @DangeRussWilson I hope you stay with them forever and I am tired of ppl are trade you and you belong with seattle Seahawks team only and I hope someday met you and I been fan of you a long time

Thank you @DangeRussWilson for all you do in Seattle. You are the kind of sports figure whom I am happy to see my grandkids (2-9 yrs old) root for.

As someone who has watched the Seattle Seahawks for decades. Russell Wilson needs to stay. We have had lots of average or terrible quarterbacks and he gives us the best chance of winning. The past decade with him and Pete Carol have been great. #Seahawks
