Patrick Peterson Activated from IR

EAGAN, Minn. — Patrick Peterson is cleared for takeoff.
The Minnesota Vikings activated on Saturday activated Peterson, an 11-year veteran who has repeatedly referred to his even demeanor as “cruising altitude.”
Peterson had landed on Injured Reserve after suffering a hamstring injury late in Minnesota’s Week 6 game at Carolina.
The bye week followed in Week 7, and then Peterson was required to miss at least three games because of his placement on IR.
The Vikings designated him for return on Wednesday, opening a 21-day window to evaluate the cornerback. The team needed just three practices to determine he’s ready to return to action.
