GREEN BAY – The Packers have been awarded two compensatory selections in the 2022 NFL Draft, the league announced on Tuesday.

Green Bay will receive additional picks in the fourth (No. 140) and seventh rounds (No. 258) after losing All-Pro center Corey Linsley and running back Jamaal Williams, respectively, during unrestricted free agency last March.

That brings the Packers’ total number of selections to nine in next month’s draft – one in the first, one in the second, one in the third, two in the fourth, one in the fifth and three seventh-round selections.

A total of 39 compensatory draft selections were awarded to 16 teams. Compensatory picks are positioned within the third through seventh rounds based on the value of the compensatory free agents lost. That formula, developed by the NFL management council, is based on salary, playing time and postseason honors.

The Packers (47) have had the third-most compensatory picks in the NFL since the practice began in 1994. Only Baltimore (55) and Dallas (55) have had more in that time.
