CHICAGO — Kyler Murray was back. So too was DeAndre Hopkins.
It wasn’t a marquee performance by either, on a cold and rainy day at Soldier Field. But from the time Murray found Hopkins for the kind of play both are known for — a 21-yard fourth-down TD pass to open the scoring — the Cardinals looked normal enough in a 33-22 win over the struggling Bears Sunday.
The victory raised the Cardinals (10-2) to 7-0 on the road this season, and was the first time the team had won coming out of a bye since Kliff Kingsbury took over as coach in 2019.
Murray, who became the fourth-youngest player ever to reach 10,000 career passing yards in the game, only had 123 yards passing on 11-of-15 completions, but he had two touchdowns, no turnovers, and he was healthy enough to reach season-highs in rushing attempts (10) and rushing yards (59) coming off his ankle injury, scoring twice on the ground. Hopkins, with his bad hamstring, only had two catches, but the touchdown was vintage Hop, dragging his toes just inbounds.
The Cardinals also got four big interceptions — one each from Budda Baker, Jalen Thompson, Byron Murphy Jr. and defensive lineman Zach Allen — that led to points. The Bears fell to 4-8.
