John Miller, Michael Jordan won’t play vs. Falcons

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers had a short injury report, but a meaningful one.

They listed two players as out for Sunday’s game against the Falcons, both the starting guards from their win earlier this year in Atlanta.

Right guard John Miller (ankle) and left guard Michael Jordan (hamstring) were listed as out on the final injury report.

They did not participate in Friday’s walkthrough.

Defensive tackle DaQuan Jones returned to work Friday, after missing the previous two days for non-injury related reasons. Cornerback Rashaan Melvin wasn’t at practice Friday, also for non-injury reasons, but he doesn’t have an injury status for the game.

The Panthers are still without a pair of players on the reserve/COVID-19 list, offensive lineman Trent Scott and outside linebacker Frankie Luvu.

With all those absences up front, the Panthers are expected to start their ninth different combination of offensive linemen in 13 games, with rookie Brady Christensen and Dennis Daley expected to slide into the guard spots.
