Dennis Allen Promoted to Saints Head Coach

NFL Super Bowl – The last open head coaching position has been filled as the New Orleans Saints will promote from within and make defensive coordinator Dennis Allen their next head coach. Allen definitely had a strong tenure as defensive coordinator in New Orleans, but that doesn’t mean he can be a good head coach. They’re two different skill sets. Allen’s failure in his first go-around as a head coach also doesn’t doom him to failure in his second go-around, but it is worth noting that he was 8-28 before the Raiders fired him four games into the 2014 season.
