If you were discussing the future of the Jets at this time last year, one name sure to have been mentioned as part of the long-term core was Mekhi Becton.

The mammoth left tackle was coming off an impressive rookie year in which he dominated at times. The talk last offseason was of him being a perennial All-Pro, the kind of player who  looked like he would be a fixture with the team for the next decade.

That feels like a long time ago.
