Ben Roethlisberger Retires | Football Outsiders

NFL Conference Championship – Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger officially announced his retirement this morning over social media, after 18 NFL seasons. Roethlisberger finishes with two Super Bowl championships. He ranked No. 1 in passing DYAR once, in 2014. Overall, he had 10 seasons in the passing DYAR top 10 plus another four seasons where he ranked 11th. Obviously, there will be a lot of discussion about various off-field accusations made against him, but Roethlisberger is pretty sure to be a Hall of Famer in five years. The Steelers will now move on and try to find a new quarterback; it’s hard to imagine that they would really go into 2022 with Mason Rudolph as the starter.
