7 things we learned from Week 13

 Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

As a fantasy manager who sent a future first-round pick in a keeper league to get Barkley for the stretch run, I’m straight up not having a good time right now. Even though Barkley was efficient with his 11 carries on Sunday, it was more of the same. Opposing defenses don’t need to respect the Giants’ passing game, which means every time Barkley touches the ball, he’s swarmed by a bevy of defenders. Between injuries and a simple lack of production, Barkley hasn’t finished as a weekly RB1 since Week 3.

The positive spin is that he’s seeing an elite workload over the last three weeks since returning from an injury. In that span, he’s averaged a 71% running back rush share and 19% target share per game. The schedule is favorable, but there just may not be much room to run for Barkley.
