2026 NFL Tight End Rankings Week 7

8 min read

Late in the third quarter of Sunday’s game in London, I declared October 18, 2026, “Random Tight Ends Day” on socials. I’ve rethought this.

Be sure to check out the latest tools on Razzball.com: Slot vs. Wide PPG Allowed | WR Slot vs. Wide| DEF Targets Allowed | Home vs. Away | Wins vs. Losses | TD Tool | RB Zone vs. Gap Rushing | DEF Zone vs. Gap Rushing |

Want more data-driven stats and tools to help you win your fantasy league? Check out the Razzball Fantasy Football premium subscriptions for $0.00 upfront with our 3-day free trial!

Why limit this to one day? The NFL doesn’t. So, when someone like Foster Moreau or Nate Boerkircher, whom I’m convinced produced my Krautrock album, scores a TD, you just might see a “RTED!” post.

Not that you asked, but now you know why.

Let’s take a look at our PPR double-digit-point scorers from Week 6:

You’ll see Moreau here, whose 2 receptions for 7 yards day was boosted by both catches being in the end zone. Boerkircher sadly did not make the grade, but he helped stop Brenton Strange from making it. Teammates, huh? Tommy Tremble made the grade, both by his productive day and by prompting the “RTED” post (I had not adopted the accompanying exclamation point yet). I answered all “Should I acquire Tommy Tremble?” questions in the Takeaways column this week.

I also raised concern in that column for Isaiah Likely’s value with the Giants handing the reins to J.J. McCarthy: this only changes my expectations; he’s still top-5 this week. It’s nice to see the Falcons recognizing that they have Kyle Pitts. Colston Loveland is finally regaining a semblance of value; while he’s a good blocker, he’s an above-average receiver who couldn’t corral a less-than-average pass from Caleb Williams for a second TD. Buffalo’s effort to contain Brock Bowers, illustrated nicely on the broadcast, left Michael Mayer free regularly; this is a situation to monitor. As for Josh Cuevas, I spoke about Matt Hibner, who was out Sunday, earlier this season; it’s nice to see the Ravens have three viable tight ends from a real-life perspective, but only one of them matters at all in fantasy. Chig Okonkwo will have to perform in a game the Commanders are not desperately trying to claw back their way into competition, but with the season-ending injury to Terry McLaurin, he should at least be on watchlists, or a speculative add in deeper leagues.

Likely is now the TE 1 for the 2026 season, thanks in part to a league-leading 5 TDs. Efficiency without the TDs is not great; Jameis Winston didn’t help there, and I don’t believe McCarthy will either. Trey McBride has the volume to get back to and stay on top, but the depth of targets and TD rate need to increase, or Bowers will run away with the title this year. After George Kittle, Sam LaPorta, and Tyler Warren, the position is thin and is an argument for not drafting a mid-round TE in regular scoring formats. In a pinch, I cannot recommend Mayer highly enough: he only has two games below 9.2 PPR points, and, yes, while the floor is low (1.2 points in Week 5), he’s had games with 10 and 9 targets in the last three weeks. And that’s with Bowers on the field, putting a chink in the “addition by subtraction” argument. The Raiders need Mayer to be a receiver.

I cut it off this week at Likely because I’m illustrating that while the top guys remain involved, production is variable for anyone, and Likely led Week 6 with no production in the RZ. Colby Parkinson’s presence bolsters my argument that Rams TEs are great best ball investments, but highly risky in managed leagues.

I raised this to a four-target minimum, as most teams have played six games and this is a good sample. Loveland finally housed one, and narrowly missed a second; he belongs in lineups, and if he makes me pay, so be it. Pat Freiermuth goes back on the bench, but I’m still holding. Guys like Oronde Gadsden II, Colby Parkinson, Darnell Washington, Foster Moreau, and Eli Raridon are nothing more than Anytime-TD darts if you partake.

And now, the top 30 for Week 7, but first:

These rankings are for Week 7 games ONLY. If you want to speak about them, hit me up in the COMMENTS.

These rankings are for base PPR leagues: 1 point per reception, 1 point for 10 yards rushing/receiving, 6 points per touchdown, and -2 points per fumble lost. No premiums or bonuses.

I’ll give player, player’s team, opponent this week, home or road game (H/R), day of game, time of game (early (E), late (L), or night (N)), current projected team total (Imp Pts) per DraftKings, opponent’s 2026 rank vs. tight ends, PPR points per game (PPG), PPR scoring rank for the season (Rank), and percent rostered per FantasyPros (Rost %).

It’s a little funny to me that Buffalo did a better job on Bowers than New England did. The Raiders face another defense that’s tough on TEs, and Bowers was limited in practice on Wednesday with hamstring and calf injuries. I’m not worried.

Kittle has a nice matchup, but Mike Evans’ Achilles injury is a concern. The 49ers depth at WR is gone, and they might have to rush Christian Kirk back. This ranking is precarious.

Travis Kelce has a tough matchup, and Rashee Rice did not practice Wednesday.

After Kelce, things get murky: Loveland, Pitts, Tucker Kraft, and Dallas Goedert are practically interchangeable this week. Kraft’s yards per target and per completion are at career lows, and he’s no longer a guaranteed top ten option to me. Goedert was fine with Tanner McKee under center.

Darren Waller could be in for a good day. The Buccaneers are currently 23rd against TEs in PPR, but shutting down the Vikings and Cowboys TEs isn’t impressive.

I’ll be interested if Mayer and Bowers are either, neither, or both propositions this week. Mayer needs to be rostered; if he’s available in your league, evaluate whether he adds value to your team.

Freiermuth could be a top ten guy any week, but a 3.1-point performance against a plus opponent is discouraging, especially considering Aaron Rodgers had 49 attempts.

Warren is a risky proposition this week: he popped up on the Week 6 injury report on Friday with a groin issue and missed the game. He also did not practice on Wednesday. Monitor this situation.

Dalton Schultz also missed practice Wednesday as he battles a quad injury. He’s not startable right now regardless.

If you’re truly strapped this week, AJ Barner and Cade Otton have plus matchups. Tampa may get Baker Mayfield back for Week 7; he was a full participant on Wednesday.
