Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is earning his recent four-year, $140 million contract extension and then some. After another impressive outing Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns, Wilson is firmly in line for the league’s Most Valuable Player.

On Sunday, Wilson completed 23 of 33 passes attempted for 295 yards and two touchdowns, earning a passer rating of 117.6. For his efforts, Wilson became just the fourth quarterback in NFL history to log a 100+ passer rating in each of his first six games to start the season.

In fact, in the Super Bowl era, only two players have managed more similar performances to start the year – Tom Brady with eight in 2007 and Aaron Rodgers with 12 in 2011.

Both Brady and Rodgers were named the MVP after those respective seasons.

But Wilson wasn’t contained to just the air game on Sunday, he also rushed for 31 yards on nine carries – including a 16-yard touchdown run – proving he is worth every penny Seattle has thrown his way.
