The Patriots are as ruthless on the field as off.
The Jets were furious when Sam Darnold’s “seeing ghosts” comment was broadcast during Monday night’s 33-0 massacre against the Patriots. While appearing on WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show” on Friday morning, New England’s star receiver Julian Edelman was blunt with his opinion on the matter.
“I don’t feel bad for him at all,” Edelman said of the Jets quarterback, who turned it over five times in the defeat.
Edelman didn’t offer much more on the subject, but claimed he’s never concerned when mic’d up on the field. Darnold told reporters this past week that he wasn’t going to be deterred from getting mic-ed up again, but coach Adam Gase expressed the organization’s disappointment with how those comments were allowed to air on national television.
