It is safe to say that Orlando Scandrick will probably never wear an Eagles uniform again. The veteran cornerback was released last week, just hours after Philadelphia was blown out by the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night football.

On Friday, Scandrick was a guest on FS1’s “Undisputed,” with Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless.

Scandrick stated that Rasul Douglas took heat for coverage breakdowns that were due to the selfishness of other players.

We know that Doug Pederson confirmed Malcolm Jenkins as the player who should have been over the top on one specific play.

Scandrick then stated that the Eagles’ captains need to take the “hard job.”

“When you wear the C on your jersey, it’s your job to bring guys along. It’s your job to sometimes you need to take the hard down, you need to take the hard job, and you need to bring the thing together. I don’t know if that’s the case.

“You hold out for a contract, you come in, you’re not really making any plays—like splash plays. Then you go down to Minnesota and you’re somehow supposed to be in the half of the field and you end up playing a crosser. That’s not a rookie we’re talking about here. That’s a two-time Super Bowl champ.”

Scandrick went on to call his release “scapegoat-ish” and said “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” about Eagles locker room.

He added that there are “accountability issues,” too.
