New York Giants’ Saquon Barkley knows Damon...

When the New York Giants square off against the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon, defensive tackle Damon Harrison will finally — probably — get his hands on running back Saquon Barkley.

“I’m excited to get out there in training camp, so I can hit his [expletive]. See what he’s made of,” Harrison told reporters prior to training camp in 2018. “I told him, it’s not Penn State. He’s not going up against [defensive tackle] Josh Banks at Wake Forest.

“Hey man, you get him between the lines, get the ball in your hand, I don’t give a damn what anybody says. It’s time to work. I’m going to hit his [expletive].”

Harrison never managed to get his hands on Barkley before being traded to the Lions last year, but the superstar running back knows he’ll need to be on his toes in Week 8.

“[Harrison] is a heck of a player. He’s a great player. I know personally, he wanted to get his hands on me since I got here last year, so he’s going to actually get that chance,” Barkley told reporters with a laugh on Thursday. “I remember last year he said something like, in the beginning when I first got here, that he can’t wait to hit my ‘you know what.’ He always used to joke around here and on Twitter and stuff like that.”

Although Barkley knows Harrison is coming for him, he’s not going to take it personally — it’s all business once they hit the field as opponents.

“But he’s Snacks, he’s a great dude. When he was here, he was someone that I was able to go to talk to for advice, just how to handle yourself throughout your career. He’s been playing at a high level for a really long time. He’s well respected, so I’m really excited to get to go play against a guy like that,” Barkley said.

The reunion with Snacks will be an interesting one this week. He’s seemed to imply some hard feeling for the Giants after being traded and has suggested he’ll eventually spill the beans somewhere down the line, so you better believe he’ll be out for blood and revenge on Sunday.

In addition to Harrison chasing around Barkley, his battle with guard Will Hernandez, whose skull he nearly cracked open like a watermelon last year, will also be a must watch.
