The Seattle Seahawks will see the return of defensive tackle Jarran Reed back to the lineup Week 7 after serving his six-game suspension for violation of the league’s personal conduct policy.

“It feels really good,” Reed told reporters Wednesday in his first press conference back with the team. “I tried not to be the very first one here, so I was at home just waiting. I didn’t care about anything on tv last night, I was just popping my eyes open and checking the time my phone. I was really excited to be back.”

“Of course, I’ve been gone 42 days and I counted every one of them,” Reed continued. “I’m just happy to be back.”

Reed’s return comes at the perfect time, as Seattle’s new-look defensive line is struggling to make a huge impact on Sundays. Reed logged a career-high 10.5 sacks last season, a stat the Seahawks have yet to total as a team this year.

With quarterback Lamar Jackson and the Ravens next up for Seattle, the line can use at much help as it can get.

Coach Pete Carroll said earlier this week he expects Reed to be a bit “rusty” in his first appearance, however, Reed feels a bit differently.

“I’m fully game ready, of course,” Reed said. “I worked my tail off. Trust me, I’m ready.”
