Eric Ebron Ranked No. 66 On NFL’s Top 100 Players...

WESTFIELD, Ind. — Eric Ebron continues to get the love he deserves.

The Indianapolis Colts tight end tonight was revealed as the 66th-best player in the league in the NFL Network’s “Top 100 Players of 2019” list, which is voted on by players across the NFL. He joins teammate T.Y. Hilton as the current Colts’ representatives on the list; Hilton earlier tonight was ranked 70th.

It’s Ebron’s first-ever selection to an NFL “Top 100 Players” list since entering the league as a first-round selection by the Detroit Lions in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Not coincidentally, Ebron last year was also selected to his first-ever Pro Bowl; he added an 18-yard touchdown reception in the AFC’s 26-7 victory over the NFC.

Ebron catching a touchdown in the Pro Bowl was a perfect way to wrap up a record-breaking season for the 6-foot-4, 253-pound North Carolina product. He made himself at home in the end zone throughout 2018, catching 66 passes for 750 yards and 13 touchdowns — all career highs — and also registering a rushing touchdown.

Ebron’s 13 receiving touchdowns set a Colts single-season record for a tight end, and he led all NFL tight ends in receiving touchdowns in 2018 and tied for the second-most among all players. His 14 total touchdowns tied for fifth in the NFL.

Ebron is the highest-ranked Colts tight end to be selected to a “NFL Top 100 Players” list since the show began airing in 2011; that year, Dallas Clark was ranked as the 78th-best player in the league.
