Bronco notes: Fangio helps Von send off camp crowds (Mike Klis, 9NEWS)
Just call Vic Fangio the coach of the people.
“I was glad to have them out here and I thank them for coming,” Fangio said of the fans. “Maybe, we’ll win enough this year that the bank will be full next year.”
Broncos S Will Parks: “I want a Super Bowl. Super Bowls. Plural.” (Sean Keeler, The Denver Post)
“I can’t sell myself short by not putting in extra work. I can’t sell myself short by not watching extra film,” he said. “Everything is for my team and for these guys, because we want a Super Bowl. I’m not crazy. You can call me crazy if you want. I want a Super Bowl. Super Bowls. Plural. Big ‘S.’ And that’s what it takes. It takes the grind … it takes not being at your best sometimes. And then when you do feel your best, you’re unstoppable, man. It’s about time the monster wakes up.”
Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders on Week 1: “I’ll be ready to go” (Ryan O’Halloran, The Denver Post)
Sanders’ recovery has been a pleasant surprise considering he missed all of the offseason program and was limited to individual drills early in camp. But little by little, Sanders has been doing more — from individuals to 7-on-7 to 11-on-11.
Dalton Risner brings busload of kids to training camp (Cealey Godwin, 9NEWS)
“My mom got a big crew together from Wiggins and brought out, I don’t even know what the final number was, but at least 50 kids to come out and watch practice which was really special,” Risner said following Tuesday’s practice. “Got a school bus, a couple of school bus drivers and got out here.”
Broncos O-line breakdown: How good can their starting five be in 2019? (Brandon Thorn, The Athletic)
Before preseason, I slotted the Broncos’ offensive line as the 11th-best unit in the NFL, largely based on the addition of Munchak and what he will bring to the offense, to the group and each player’s expected development. Denver’s line was one of the more productive units in the league on the ground last year with a patchwork group upfront. With better players and coaching this season, I expect their trajectory to continue to trend upward.
