5 things to watch, from a new look defense to a mobile Young, as Panthers take on Broncos

Can Bryce lean on mobility again?
The NFL season is long and carries a near guarantee of injury at some point, even if it’s just bumps and bruises. As such, quarterback Bryce Young hasn’t been able to use his mobility as much in the last two weeks as he did at the beginning of the season.
The Panthers checked in on Young’s ankle soreness at the beginning of the week, and the QB was listed on the injury report all week with an ankle (he was a full participant all week), but after everything came back clear, they saw their quarterback re-emerge in practice.
“He looked great this week,” Canales said Friday of Young. “He had a phenomenal week of practice. He was moving around doing all the things we know he can do. Had some soreness on Monday. We did our due diligence, and everything’s fine, but you know that’s information that we have to be aware of and also that we have to report.
“But even with that being said, you know, that was early in the week. He looked great (Friday). Yesterday was a fantastic day for him, moving around third down and doing some of the other things we were doing. So, he’s ready to go.”
