17 this past week, including Darren Waller WITHOUT a touchdown (also without Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker for at least half the game), not one but two Raiders, the Kenyon Sadiq breakout, the Tyler Higbee breakout (WH-WH-WH-WHAAAT?), and someone named Matt Hibner. And the Saints go marching in…to tight-end nirvana with two top-seven spots and FOUR touchdowns. George Kittle and Harold Fannin also had two TDs each in Week 3. 7 of these 17 are owned in fewer than 10% of leagues; of those, Gesicki is the only player I’d consider in PPR leagues of 12 teams or fewer, and he’s TD-dependent.

Brock Bowers spots the others two full games and is in the top 20 after one game. Fannin and Sadiq rode monster games into the top-10. Travis Kelce slots in at number 2 in part due to his 57-yard reception in Week 1 vs. Denver. If Tyler Shough keeps averaging 44 attempts and 306 yards per game, Johnson will be a draft-day steal; otherwise, expect regression. Dalton Kincaid took a step back this week as the Chargers defense did a nice job frustrating the Bills offense. Tyler Warren continues to have a YPC that would embarrass a running back. I’d expect improvement from Sam LaPorta and Mark Andrews given the volume, but Andrews’ lack of red zone targets is concerning.

AJ Barner led the way in RZTs for the week, but Eric Saubert is the Seahawks TE who cashed. Of the players with 2 RZTs in Week 3, only McBride didn’t score. Zach Ertz was quiet in his return to the Eagles, but his one reception did come in the RZ.
Here’s the season-to-date RZ targets:

I cut it off at a two-target minimum. McBride continues to be the volume standard-bearer. Juwan Johnson, Kittle, and Jake Ferguson are efficient; Ferguson shows he should probably get more work outside the RZ. Higbee’s inclusion here points to the frustration of rostering Rams’ tight ends; Colby Parkinson is here as well, and Terrance Ferguson has a RZ TD on 1 target. Nate Adkins being here shows that Evan Engram has his upside capped.
And now, the top 30 for Week 3, but first:
These rankings are for Week 4 games ONLY. If you want to speak about them, hit me up in the COMMENTS, which is also where I will post updates after Friday practice participation reports are finalized.
These rankings are for base PPR leagues: 1 point per reception, 1 point for 10 yards rushing/receiving, 6 points per touchdown, and -2 points per fumble lost. No premiums or bonuses.
I’ll give player, player’s team, opponent this week, home or road game (H/R), day of game, time of game (early (E), late (L), or night (N)), current projected team total (Imp Pts) per DraftKings, opponent’s 2026 rank vs. tight ends, PPR points per game (PPG), PPR scoring rank for the season (Rank), and percent rostered per FantasyPros (Rost %).

I don’t know how Bowers felt after Sunday’s game, but he looked great and beat my expectations. Kudos to the Raiders for how they handled the player.
If the game wasn’t in the UK, I’d be tempted to bump Tyler Warren into the top 5.
It may be too early to make sweeping generalizations, and they have played Seattle, Pittsburgh, and Jacksonville, none of whom is TE-centric, but the Patriots have allowed fewer than 14 PPR points to the position for the season. I’m approaching Kincaid cautiously.
All of Sadiq (back), Jeremy Ruckert (knee), and Mason Taylor (thumb) are on the Jets injury report. Sadiq hurt his back in the Week 3 game but returned after visiting the medical tent. I’m not concerned yet.
Loveland had a TD overturned on Monday night. It’s been a tough season so far.
Colby Parkinson and Terrance Ferguson both did not practice for the Rams on Wednesday. Tyler Higbee might be a sneaky spot start again; the Eagles are in the Patriots’ neighborhood in defending the tight end, but also have played offenses that don’t feature the TE (Commanders, Titans, and Bears).
Keep an eye on the Buccaneers injury report, as both Bucky Irving (glute) was limited and Chris Godwin (ankle) did not practice today. Cade Otton would get a bump despite Jalon Daniels being the starter at QB.
Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) logged a limited practice on Wednesday. We should have an indication of his availability if he travels to the UK with the team.
