I’m not panicking, you’re panicking! – Week 4 Streamers and Stashes
5 min read
Another one bites the dust, with De’Von Achane joining a growing list of injured studs. So who should you use instead? Read on, to find all the best streamers for this week and stashes for the future.
To keep things simple, we’ll define a streamer as any player you wouldn’t usually start who is a viable option for this week. They may be on your bench or they may be on waivers, depending on your league. We’ll define a stash as any player you can potentially find on waivers that you should stash for the future, either because they have a favorable match-up coming up, or because they could become a future fantasy starter. All players will have under 80% ownership on either Sleeper or Yahoo, ideally both, or would usually be bench stashes in most leagues.

QB Streamers:
Bryce Young (CAR – 74%): The Lions have conceded the most points to quarterbacks this season making Young a great start this week for those who picked him up as injury cover or a backup to Drake Maye. Would I start him in front of Maye? Maybe. But I’d definitely start him over all the other QB2s.
Jacoby Brissett (ARI – 8%): The Cardinals face a Brian Burns-less Giants with Brissett coming off 52 passing attempts against the superior 49ers. If he can finish as the QB4 against them, there’s every chance he backs it up this week.
QB Stashes:
Malik Willis (MIA – 22%): I don’t love any stashes this week, but the best of a bad bunch is Willis. He will be forced to pass more (and potentially run more) without De’Von Achane. While I suspect he’ll likely become worse because of this, the upside is there once he gets through his brutal opening stretch of matchups.
RB Streamers:
Braelon Allen (NYJ – 17%): One of the biggest waiver pickups this week, you would have had him for free if you’d read last week’s article, when he was my favorite stash. He’s a must-start until Breece Hall returns.
Tony Pollard (TEN – 87%): The Titans have changed up how they’re using their running backs, with Pollard the main early down guy and Spears in on passing downs. This brings Pollard back into the starting conversation for fantasy. That starts this week against a middling Ravens run defense.
JK Dobbins (DEN – 81%): The 49ers have struggled against the run this season, bringing both Broncos backs into play this week. But I favor Dobbins, who seems to have consolidated the early down role.
RB Stashes:
Alvin Kamara (NO – 48%): With Travis Etienne out, Kamara looks like the primary starter for New Orleans moving forward. But the Falcons are a brutally tough rushing matchup, meaning I’d sit him for this week and prioritize getting him onto my bench.
Running backs get injured more than any other player in fantasy, with the average Top 36 running back missing two games per season in fantasy. For that reason, your best bet in fantasy is to roster running backs who are an injury away from an every down role. Each week, I’ll be listing my favorite RB stashes, only including players you won’t be starting most weeks.
Top Handcuffs: Kaelon Black, Brian Robinson, Emmett Johnson, Mike Washington, Woody Marks, Kendre Miller, Seth McGowan, Kenny Gainwell, Tank Bigsby, Tyler Allgeier, Samaje Perine, Jonah Coleman, Keaton Mitchell, Raheim Sanders, Ray Davis
WR Streamers:
Devaughn Vele (NO – 65%): The Falcons have conceded a lot of points to receivers so I feel good about starting Vele this week, but he is reaching his sell-now window with Tyson returning soon.
Malik Washington (MIA – 17%): With De’Von Achane and Caleb Douglas both injured, Washington becomes the clear main man in Miami. This week isn’t the greatest matchup, but wide receivers are the only players to have had success against the Vikings. So he’s a cautious start for me.
Kalif Raymond (CHI – 10%): The Bears have shifted heavily towards using Raymond in 12 personnel and this is valuable, as they use a lot of these sets. And he’s filling his boots with targets too. I’m confidently starting him most weeks from now on.
WR Stashes:
Jayden Reed (GB – 53%): Reed is being dropped in a lot of leagues but he’s not even on IR yet. With how bad the O-line has been in Green Bay, I’d expect a lot of underneath passes to the slot man upon a healthy return.
Ted Hurst (TB – 1%): Jalen McMillan has hit IR, opening an opportunity for Hurst to receive the entire outside receiver role they were sharing. Last week, that led to more snaps than Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin and more targets.
TE Streamers:
Kenyon Sadiq (NYJ – 26%): He’s risky given his low route rate, but especially if Adonai Mitchell remains out, the rookie is a strong streaming option in a revitalized Jets offense.
Darren Waller (CAR – 12%): Waller’s very risky, but he’s getting a heap of end zone looks. With the best tight end matchup in the league coming up, he’s worth trying against the Lions. Heck, he’s gotta be better than Kyle Pitts, right?!
TE Stashes:
Terrance Ferguson (LAR – 18%): Ferguson’s injury has a lot of people dropping him, but there’s a heap of talk that Puka Nacua might need season-ending surgery. That alone is enough to have me stashing Ferguson.
K Streamers:
Spencer Shrader (IND – 8%): For some time, I’ve extolled the virtues of Colts kickers, and Shrader has paid off whenever he’s been healthy. This week’s matchup is better than most, so use him.
Chris Boswell (PIT – 24%): The Steelers end up in a heap of grindfests, and that usually leads to a lot of field goals. That’s gold for kickers, so start Boswell.
DST Streamers:
Browns DST (CLE – 17%): Is it possible the Browns are actually *shock* not awful? They have what will likely be a low-scoring matchup against the Steelers, who have been a strong DST matchup so far this season.
Cardinals DST (ARI – 1%): The Giants can’t score touchdowns with Jameis Winston under center, meaning even the Cardinals become a viable option.
Please note: I won’t be listing kicker or DST stashes. You should never put kickers or DSTs on your bench in redraft leagues. There are practically no exceptions. Just please, don’t do it.
