Practice Report: Tyler Loop Stays Hot With Two…

After a perfect week in Minnesota featuring a 49-yard field goal in Saturday’s game, kicker Tyler Loop kept his positive momentum rolling at the end of Monday’s practice.

Loop started 5-of-5 on field goals of 33, 38, 43, 48, and 53 yards before missing from 58 yards on a kick that hit the left upright. But Loop bounced back by nailing a 63-yarder and a 58-yarder to end practice, bringing his total to six-for-seven on the day.

The pressure on Loop did not mirror a game setting, but the second-year kicker succeeding at a solid percentage and from long range was still a positive sign.

Here are other notes from Monday’s non-padded practice:

• Running backs Rasheen Ali and Adam Randall returned to the field after missing time. Ali hadn’t practiced in about two weeks, while Randall, who had been a participant throughout all offseason workouts, didn’t play in Saturday’s preseason game against the Vikings.

• There were a handful of Ravens, however, who left practice early or didn’t practice. Not on the field at all were wide receiver Zay Flowers, defensive end Calais Campbell, outside linebacker Zion Young, cornerback Keyon Martin, safety K’Von Wallace, and linebackers Reid Williford and Carl Jones Jr.

• Cornerback Bilhal Kone and wide receivers Dayton Wade, Octavian Smith Jr., and Xavier Guillory left practice early, although Guillory returned later. Kone, who tore his ACL during last year’s training camp, limped off the field early in Monday’s session.

• Like the last practice open to reporters, inside linebacker Teddye Buchanan worked out on another field as he continued his comeback from a torn ACL suffered in December.

• The Ravens had both seven-on-seven as well as 11-on-11 periods. Lamar Jackson was efficient in both settings, with his only misfire coming on a deep shot to rookie wideout Ja’Kobi Lane, who was open toward the left hash. Jackson put the ball behind Lane, who looked momentarily like he would add to his lengthy collection of wild catches. Lane reached out with his left arm, but it was too far behind him to control. Jackson did connect with Lane a couple of times on short passes during seven-on-seven.

• Wide receiver Devontez Walker made a nice catch over the middle on a pass from Jackson that was behind him during seven-on-seven.

• Wide receiver Rashod Bateman made a diving catch during 11-on-11 while being guarded by cornerback Chidobe Awuzie.
