It’s happening. Some are spotting it (prematurely) at bookstores. Others are getting notices from Amazon that it’s on the way.

Officially, Playmakers arrives everywhere (except for the UK) in five days.

Domestically, it’s currently available at a 10-percent discount from both Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Those who order now get access to the various episodes of the Playmakers podcast, the next (and possibly last) of which is coming tomorrow. Those who buy through next weekend also get an invitation to the virtual launch party on March 21. (For more information, click here.)

For those who have ordered the book, I greatly appreciate it. I hope you’ll enjoy it. If you do, I hope you’ll tell a friend, or perhaps buy that friend a copy as a gift. Write positive reviews, to offset the inevitable haters who will ding the book without buying it or reading it, because we once (or twice) wrote or said something about their favorite team that they didn’t like, even if it was dead-on balls accurate. (If you read it and don’t like it, that’s fine. Not everyone will. If you flame it without even opening it, that’s just not normal behavior.)

And for our many friends in the UK, Amazon currently is selling Playmakers at a whopping 20-percent discount. Buy it now before they realize too many people are buying it at 20-percent off and lower the discount, which Amazon apparently did on Tuesday on the domestic platform.
