Watch Bill Belichick’s disdain for question about…

The holidays haven’t brightened Bill Belichick’s spirits. The Patriots coach’s answer to a question about New Year’s resolutions was icy.

Now that Christmas has passed, New Year’s looms as the next big holiday to set sights on.

If you’re a reporter, that means asking the classic question: What are your New Year’s resolutions.

If you’re a reporter in New England, that may mean having to ask that to Patriots head coach Bill Belichick…and getting a frigid response in return.

Bill Belichick isn’t suffering New Year’s resolution questions

Belichick wanted absolutely none of it when a reporter posed the question during his postgame presser on Sunday.

The look on his face is part cringe, part hilarious.

Belichick is already a pretty grumpy guy, so maybe it wasn’t the best time to ask him that softball question. After all, his team did just lose to the Bills in a critical AFC East matchup for the lead in the division.

Then again, there were nicer ways for Belichick to answer even if the disappointment from the loss was still fresh. Just look at how Jakobi Meyers handled the same question.

It’s really not that hard to answer diplomatically if you’re not interested in answering earnestly.

Belichick is going to Belichick.

As for the Patriots, they’re 9-6 and still vying for the AFC East title. They have to finish out the season against the Jaguars and Dolphins. The Bills have a similarly easy slate against the Falcons. and the Jets.
