It’s not the biggest roster move in history, but the Eagles just sent shockwaves through the NFL world, with Adam Schefter’s news that Philadelphia was releasing veteran linebacker, Zach Brown.

Brown signed a 1-year, $1.5 million deal with $1.4 million guaranteed after being cut by the Redskins last offseason. Now he’ll be a free agent after blasting former teammate Kirk Cousins on Friday, only to see the Vikings signal-caller shred the Birds on Sunday.

With Brown now out in Philadelphia, here are four takeaways from the huge move.

1. Brown simply wasn’t a good fit

Brown is a thumper, who excels at stopping the run and being a sound tackler. Jim Schwartz utilizes a defense that prefers to put his linebackers in space and out in pass coverage. Brown simply wasn’t transitioning.
